The second annual Rotary Fundraising Garden Party

The second annual Rotary Fundraising Garden Party will be held this year at the R.J Haney Heritage Park on a very sunny Sat afternoon this July 6^th from 1: 00 pm until 5pm. The fundraiser is again to raise funds for our Ecuador Dental project and the Kenyan Barani School program. Last year we had a very successful party at the Granite Creek Winery and this year we are hoping to surpass that event with an even better one at the R.J. Heritage Park.

This years’ theme will be similar to our last party, however, this year in addition to live Dixieland music by the Salty Dogs, we will be entertained by the world renowned “James Johnson and his Magical Daredevil Comedy Show “  who will dazzle and entertain young and old alike. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring well behaved children as we will have ice cream and games for all those who would like to be active. For those that would like a more relaxing afternoon, sit with your friends at one the tables for ten in the garden for great conversation, entertainment, wine or tea and light refreshments.

This is a great way to spend an afternoon this summer with your friends knowing that in doing so you are helping feed the hungry school children in Barani, Kenya and to help realize a child’s first dental treatment  in Ecuador. Take a moment and get group of friends together for your own table at this year’s event. Tickets are only $25 each (those well behaved children are no charge) and this includes a ticket for a glass of local wine ($5 value). We will also have a stand serving a variety of flavours of ice cream plus a selection of speciality teas as well.

Tickets will be available at the may 11th meeting or at Dr Gene Tymkiw’s office. Tickets will be available at RJ Haney the day of the event, but don’t miss out on having a table, reserve and there is sure to be a table available for you and your friends
